A search for the best chartered accountancy firms in Rouen usually ends in a list sorted by Google rating. It is a useful first filter, but it mixes very different realities: an independent firm with three partners, a branch with 78 staff, a firm that follows most of its clients online.

This article cross-checks published reviews with the specialities of six firms present in the Métropole Rouen Normandie, then ranks them on a grid of ten public criteria, detailed in the “Ranking methodology” section.

In Extenso in Rouen: what the published figures say

In Extenso supports Rouen businesses from the In Extenso Normandie Seine branch, 640 rue Augustin Fresnel, in Isneauville, a municipality of the Métropole Rouen Normandie just north of the city. The branch publishes its own indicators: 78 staff, more than 2,400 clients and a satisfaction survey carried out in 2024, according to which 91% of its clients are satisfied.

A branch-level survey has a specific value: it measures the relationship with the team that actually handles the file, not a national average. Fiducial Expertise welcomes clients at 44 rue Jeanne d’Arc, in Rouen, and at 420 avenue des Canadiens, in Petit-Couronne, and also has an address in Mont-Saint-Aignan. The group reports a local network of 850 branches in France. Its Rouen branches focus on liberal professions, craftspeople, retailers, farmers and managers of small businesses, and customer reviews for each branch can be read on its local pages.

RYDGE Conseil is located at 71 avenue Antoine de Saint Exupéry, in Bois-Guillaume. The network reports 200 offices in France and 4,500 experts and consultants, and publishes the average of the Google reviews left across all its offices. Its offer stands out for advice to business owners, HR administration and a team dedicated to buying and selling businesses.

Certus & Vialatte: direct access to the partners

Certus & Vialatte is a Rouen firm at 8 allée Eugène Delacroix, made up of three chartered accountants and statutory auditors. The firm reports supporting more than 340 clients since 2020 and belongs to a network of 13 firms with more than 100 staff. Its website displays its clients’ Google reviews.

For a business owner who wants to talk directly to a partner, about the accounts as well as remuneration, retirement or statutory audit, this human-sized format is a strength. The firm also has legal, HR and wealth teams.

Keobiz and Numbr: online follow-up with a Rouen address

Keobiz, 14-18 rue Henri Rivière, in the Le Trident building, publishes its prices, with packages from 79 € excl. VAT per month, offers company creation with every package and gives access to a portal to follow finances in real time. The firm reports more than 18,000 entrepreneurs supported from Paris and Rouen.

Numbr, 15 rue de la Pie, welcomes clients in the heart of Rouen, by video call or by phone. How to read reviews of a chartered accountant

Reviews are useful when read with method. Five pointers:

1. Volume. A rating based on a few dozen reviews and one based on several thousand cannot be compared directly.
2. Date. Reviews from the last twelve months say more about the current team than those from five years ago.
3. Level. A network rating, a branch rating and an independent firm’s rating do not measure the same thing.
4. Content. Responsiveness, availability of the contact, clarity of fees: the words that come back are what inform you.

What reviews do not say

Reviews describe an experience, not a skill. They say nothing about the firm’s ability to support a first hire, a fundraising or a sale, or about its knowledge of your sector. They are also unevenly spread: large networks publish reviews per branch or at national level, independent firms on their single listing.

Ranking methodology

The six firms were assessed on the same ten criteria on 26 October 2026, based on the public pages of their websites (offers, prices, lists of branches and offices), the directory of the French Order of Chartered Accountants, review platforms and the list of municipalities published by the French administration (geo.api.gouv.fr). Only accountancy firms that welcome clients at an address in the Métropole Rouen Normandie are ranked. The first three criteria are assessed at brand level, on what each brand publishes; the next seven are specific to choosing a firm in Rouen. For criterion 3, the average rating published for the whole network by a public review platform (Google, Custplace or another review platform) is used, or, for an independent firm, the rating of the firm itself.

Scoring grid. Each criterion met is worth 1 point and is marked Yes. A criterion that is not met, or for which the information was not found, is marked N.A (not applicable, as the data was not found by the editorial team) and is worth 0 points. All criteria carry the same weight, 1/10 of the overall score each (10%). The position follows from the overall score. On an equal score, the firm that benefits from a sponsored highlight, stated in the article, is placed ahead on its own, at its own rank, and is never declared tied; the other firms are separated by the points obtained on criteria 4 to 10, then by alphabetical order. The best chartered accountancy firm in Rouen depends on your trade and size as much as on reviews. For a simple activity followed remotely, a package with a displayed price is enough.
